Approximately 4 kilometers south of Sölden, where the Ötztal valley divides into Venter Tal and Gurgel Tal , you will find the small village of Zwieselstein( 1470 m ). The unobtrusive village is a true hideaway for guests that want to avoid the fancy tourist village of Sölden but appriciate to stay close to the unique ski slopes of Sölden, Gurgl and Vent. For cross country skiers: In Zwieselstein starts the most beautiful cross country ski trail in the Ötztzal valley (to Bodeneeg, 7 km, medium advanced).
From Zwieselstein you can reach Sölden easily by bus (short intervals) as well as Gurgel-8 km or Vent. Skiers with a valid ski pass can use the bus for free.
Directly in the village there are some cosy restaurants. The nearest supermarket is in Sölden.
